TL and OSL as research tools in luminescence: Possibilities and limitations

چکیده
The objective of this paper is to review the use thermoluminescence (TL) and optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) techniques as research tools in luminescence, particularly detect presence trapping centers that can degrade efficiency scintillators, shape properties persistent phosphors, storage phosphors dosimeters. A brief main analysis provided, followed by a discussion their limitations. Examples applications which TL or OSL analyses have provided useful information on recombination charges created ionizing radiation given.
